History

The Canadian College of Osteopathy (CCO) was established in Toronto in 1991 and is a member of the Association of Traditional Osteopathic Colleges of Canada (ATOCC).

The model for the CCO is the Collège d'Études Ostéopathiques (College of Osteopathic Studies) in Montreal. Philippe Druelle, DO of France founded this college in Quebec in 1981. The CEO has graduated over 400 qualified Osteopaths in the province of Quebec. As a result of the increasing stature of the CCO nationally, it has established colleges in Vancouver (2000) and Halifax (2001).
