The CCO is the largest, oldest and most well known college of Osteopathy in Ontario. With 30 years of
experience in the teaching of Osteopathic Manual Practice our graduates total 1000 now in Canada.

Our graduates will finish with a Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice, the CCO is the only college
able to grant this designation which is now recognized by the Canadian Government as an official
professional designation.

As a member of the Association of the Traditional Osteopathic Colleges of Canada (ATOCC),
the mission of the Canadian College of Osteopathy (CCO) is to provide high quality
education to qualified students who wish to enter the field of Traditional Osteopathy.
Under the guidance of the College’s founder, Philippe Druelle, DO, the students of the CCO
receive a well-rounded academic education in Traditional Osteopathy through small class sizes,
personal attention and a progressive curriculum.

The Canadian College of Osteopathy has built its leading-edge program on the foundation
provided by its parent school, the College of Osteopathic Studies (le Collège d'Études Ostéopathiques) of Montreal,
established in 1981. The cornerstones of this foundation are:

-TRADITION
-PALPATION
-RESEARCH
-CLINICAL METHODOLOGY

Established in 1991, the CCO prides itself on a progressive curriculum that both honours and preserves Traditional Osteopathic Practice. The elements of Traditional Osteopathy include:

Osteopathic philosophy
Theory
Methodology
Technique

The Canadian College of Osteopathy, through its membership in the ATOCC, is recognized
worldwide as a leader in traditional osteopathic education. In particular, it emphasizes
the transmission of the art of osteopathic palpation from the experienced Osteopath to
the student. This palpatory ability, to evaluate and treat the human body at a highly
sophisticated manual level, is what distinguishes Osteopathy from all other forms of
medicine and therapy. Furthermore, this aptitude for palpation is what separates other training
in osteopathic technique from an education in Osteopathy, as offered by the CCO.

There are several ways to learn more about the programs offered by the CCO

All of us at the College, the faculty, administration staff, graduates and current students,
look forward to your entry into the field of osteopathic education and practice.
